SYDNEY,. June 10. Captain Bean, cabling from Alexandria on June Bth, says that the fighting has been confined to the part of the line known as "Quinn's Post." The Turks sapped up to two holes outside the tr-eneh. and caused mine explosions. These turned them into bomb-proof shelters. Two parties of the Bth Horse attacked and re-occupied the shelters, but were only able \o retain one "trench beyond our left, which rhe New Zealanders took and held fot 48 hours. Afterwards they were enfiladed by artillery and the position became untenable. The New Zealanders then retired to their old position. Genera] von Sanders directed the attack on May 19th. The men are in splendid fettle and aro well fed.
