INVERCARGILL WOOL SALES. BY TELEGRAPH— PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. INVERCARGILL, Feb. 12. The final wool sales of the season were held there to-day, when 7,947 bales I were offered and sold. There was a good attendance of buyers, and competition was spirited, and compared with the recent Christchurch sale, the prices all round were fully Id ahead. Compared with, January sales in ;Invercargill prices were from a penny to two penct* better. The President of the Wool Buyers'" i-s-sf-iation (Mr. Walter Hill) in the course of an interview said that today 's sale was the best which had taken place, in New Zealand this season. The top price of the sale was 15$ d for four bales of cross-bred hogget grown by Mr. J. Smith, of Gore.
