MINA C ALDOW'S CONCERT

At the Opera House on Thursday next, the Mina Caldow Concert Co. will give one concert only, and it is expected that a good audience will welcome this world famous contralto. The return of a New Zealand singer who has proved her quality in the Old Cou n try must be a matter of interest to many. Miss Caldow who has been in England for over six years is to display her talentt on the 18th. when she will sing a number of new songs in which she has been very successful in the United Kingdom, and Australasia.. Her items will include the operatic Aria "Softly Awakes My Heart,' (from Samson, and Delilah) and the fascinating 'Avanera,' solo from Carmen. "My Am Folk." and "Doon the Burn" The Edinburgh News wrote of Miss Caldow' s singing" of Soctch songs thus: "The last song "Castles in the Air," by Miss Caldow whetted our thirst for another from this real Scottish songster, so that she Vgave us "My Am Folk," sung so sweetly and with such feeling that she had to give another: "Doon the Burn.' which w,as a great triumph coming* at the end of such a display of talemtl Associated with Miss Caldow will be Miss Audrey Gibson, solo pianiste, and Mr. Edward B.
