A serious accident happened at a cor ncr in New Plymouth on Wednesday (says the Tara,naki Herald) An elder ly man named Harre, who was riding an ordinary bicycle was> turning into a street when a motor cyclist, who was ridi'iur in the same direction* and just behind the cyclist, not aware of the lat ter's intentions^ collided with him. Both were thrown heavily to the ground. «M"t. Harre was very fotunate in escaping with a severe shak ing- but *he other cyclist was rendered, unconscious, and was carried away and medically attended to. rje was suffering from slightt concussion and general abrasions about the, head and hands, but soon recovered conscious ness. He was subsequently removed to the hospital.
