GREYMOUTH BRANCH

On Tuesday afternoon at the Sailors' Rest the annual meeting of the W.C.T.U. was held, there being a good attendance of members.

The President giave a short address, after which the reports of the Secretary and Treasurer were read and adop ted These reports showed that good work had been done by the. Union during the year.

Officers for the ensuing year were then elected as follows: — President— Mrs. Gaskin (re-elected)..

Vice-Presidents — Mesdames Parkinson, Mason and W. Mason. Secretary. — Mrs. Hayes (re-elected).

Treasurer — Mrs. Sweetman (re-elec-ted).

White Ribbon Agent — Mrs. McXntosh (re-elected).'

Aftersoon tea was handed round. During the Afternoon Mr. Marion gave an encouraging address.
