The Carmen/murder mystery in New York has been deepened by the discovery in the attic of Dr Carmen's house .of a,n unopened box of cartridg es similar to those used in the crime.
Dr. Carmen's statement is that while he was returning from a professional call a man' in a motor car fired at him and speeding up thecar disappeared. A woman corroborates this evidence insofar that she says she saw a man in the vicinity and heaird three shots fired. Then she. saw the car . move slowly away.
