Mr. G. S. Cray, of Timaru, arrived by the express on Saturday evening and is staying at the Post/ Office Hotel. He returns on Thursday morning.

Constable Carroll, formerly in charge of the Runanga station, and for the past few -weeks on sick -leave, has been appointed to take charge of the Stafford station.

Old friends will join m hearty good wishe s to the worthy couple, who have spent most of their wedded life in Hokitika, Mr.. Ingrain 'having:- earned on his wellknown hairdressing business in Reveil Street foi v>nst ot the lengthy period, during which time a family of three sons- and '><> daughters were reared, the "latter being- married and having 'several children.
