MISS SHRIMPTON
Last night the members of the Greymouth Young Men's Club entertained MJss • Shrimpton at a social -prior to her departure 4 for Wellington where she will in future reside. There were over fifty present. The first part of the evening was devoted to euchre and five hundred: At the .conclusion of the game", Mr. J. W. Gfeenslade. president of the Pub. referred to the great services that Miss Shrimpton had rendered the Club, and at the various socials held during thp season,. she^was most enejH gretic. anjl much of thr that* "tb,ese fund ions had achieved was due to her untiring labours. The CJub were indeed sorry that she was leaving Greymouth, and they could not let her depart without giving her some small, token to rSmemhcr the Young Men's Club. > Mr. Gfeenslade then presented Miss Shrimpton with a handsome travelling • rug onrJ' in doing so wished he* longlife and' every happiness in her nrw home. Mr. R. Ahorne suitably responded on behalf of Miss Shrimpton. Durinpr the oveninor song? were rendered by Miss Hatch and Messrs KpnMie and Adams. * .•' Tho rest of the eveninqr was spent in <l.'iucintr and the music for which was supplied by Messrs Keddie (piano) and Sweet- (violin):
