SALE OF RACING STOCK.

TIMAR^ May 29. W. H. Palmer's racing stock was offered for auction to-day at Washdyke. The sales . were as follows : — Steeplechaser, The Brewer, , 255 guineas, to James Smith, Dunedin ; John Bunyan 95 guineas to P. H. Elworthy. Mattel was passed at 100 gns., but a sale is pend'.ng at price beyond that. There was a poor demand for hacks, highest price being 33 guineas.
