POLLARD'S PICTURES.
An exceptionally lar^e and evident- 1 ly highly delighted audience greeted the ~ new programme at the Opera House last night. The star picture "Our King's Navy" proved a revelation to those whose ideas 'as to the strength of the British fleet were limited The companion star picture was a capably acted and beautifully staged .'drama; entitled "His Life for his Emperor." This excellent series will be repeated to-night. On Monday night a new- programme will be presented the leading- feature of which is a photo-adaptation of Wilkie Collins weird and wonderful story "The Dead "Secret." The camera work is amazingly clever, trick follows trick illusion follows illusion, until patrons ask themselves "How was it done." While these surprises are being sprung the nriricipal incidents i" the novel are being- developed. The usual Sunrhy display will be aiven to-morrow. Four dramas, .a charrninp- .scenic s^udy. a , new.
