Two thousand chair-makers at High Wyco inbe are on strike. Tlßy attack ed the 'factory and smashed the windows.- f Jhey had a furious hand, to hand fight with the police w-Ra" bottles ancl stones for weapons. Several police were, injured. The, non-strikers working the factories were rescued with difficulty.

An expert witness" at the Senghenvdd enquiry said that he was of the opinion that the explosion occurred at a lamp station where an onen lamp ijrnited the gas freed by the- heavy fall.
LODGING HOUSE, KEEPER STRANGLED.
