SYDNEY, July 23. There were four cases of small-pox ,iri the city to-day, and one at Parkes.

Several supposed cases in the country district, are being investigated.

A large number of vaccination depd'.s are closing to-morrow owing" to the falling- off of applicants. Sixteen thousand doses of lymph arrived from Melbourne and also a supply from Noumea.

TJie jb.ulk of this lot will be despatch ed to. the country.'

The totail public and private vaccir nations in"SydTT"<- and suburbs amount to two hundred thousand, slightly over a, quarter of the population.
