SAVES WOMAN FROM A* FIREi. :LONDON, April 12. Exciting scenes were witnessed at p. fire that broke out in a-- RomanCatholic presbytery occupied by the Rev. Father Rooney. at Sheffield, yesterday. : The housekeeper awoke and found the house on fire, and that it was* impossible to escape by way of the staircase. The priest knotted several sheets together, secured one end around the terrified woman, and the o^her to n.. bed and lowered her a distance of 50ft. to the street. Afterwards he 'himself climbed down the improvised rope, amid the cheers of the spectators^
