The Union also -passed a resolution congratulating- the presidents in tth-e American States which have carried womanhood Suffrage. The Rev. G. Daws' on, .Secretary of the New Zealand Aliance,. addressed the convention </n the progress of the prohibition campaign. INVERCARGILL, March 10 • Members/ of T-h.e Executive of tlic Women's Christian Temperance Union have instituted a campaign against liquor advertisements on tram cickets. They threaten to' boycott the electric trams, and- are asking niemberis of temperance org-anisatioris to' refuse to accept tickets bearing- liquor' advertisements. The Union is also ■ .agitatingagainst Sunday trams, and intends to oppose cand4dateis for the town, council who will! not support their views on these matters.
