Brigadier Gist is an earnest and forceful speaker, and held the attention of his audience^ who, hung over his every word. . A feature of the" day was the various open airs at which, the Brass Band assisted. /One is. pleased to note an all round improvement in* their playing. iFrom every, standpoint, the day's meetings were very successful. ,
