DUNEDIN, May 14, The Bruce County Council adversely ; cjriticised the Local 'GiovfcnijmeiH Bill :in general. The opinion wa s that the County :CouncUs desired no such drastic changes as proposed. It was unanimously resolved that the Council condemned the main principles of the bill and object strenuously, to tho proposed Local Government ; Board which would override the ml ings of elective bodies. T£e Conference also (objected to the re-establishment of the provincial councils. - ■ ■ The proposals to provide elections every second year was objected to as a needless addition to expense.
