On April 22nd the auxiliary fishing boat Lottio left Omaha for Whangaruru with three Maoris (Tenatahi Brown, his .wife and a tgirl named Lydia Ngere), and a European named E. G. Phillips aboard. ' ' On Sunday last pieces of wreckage Av'ere found in tho vi-cinity- of Whangaruru and thec© created suspicion of a disaster. Yesterday the ;boat, a total wreck, and .tho dead bodies- of Phillips and Nger© wevc. found on the beach at M'H Point ;tt the entrance to Whangaruru. ' The fate of the other iwo occupants has not ibe< l n ascertained, but there as every probability that both were drowned. ,
