Lamb.— The market is 1 very firm with a general active demand and shipments are now clearing as soon as they arrive. Future prospects are good. Beef.— The market is< firm with good demand- New Zealand hinds 3§d, iNew Zealand fores 3sd-■Buyer.—-The marikefj ii?j somewhat steadier. Choicest New Zealand butter to-day is 110s ; Australian 106^ X'rg-entine 105s, 'Danish H3s, Siherian lOQs. Cheese. — The markd.) is quiet bu^ rather steadier. New Zealand white 695. colored 70s. Hemp. — The market is firmer with more demand. On spo : t — New Zcajland good to fair. 15s, fair 10s. Forward shipment same price. Manila, on r<pot, ;£22, forward shipment .£22 10s.- The output from' Manila for the week was 2000 ! i>ales. Wheait'.— The market is active notwithstanding the '- advices of heavy shipments. Oats. — The markeit as weaiker with a 'tendency downAvavd in anticipation of heavy arrivals. Peas — The market is firmer. Nominally New Zealand peas, partridge, per 504 lbs, are quoted at 37;*. Beans. — The market Is steady with moderate enquiry. Nominally, New Zealand beaivi, f.a.q. I old crops), per 504 lbs, arc quoted at 395.
