In response to an announcement that a woman, alleged to be under hynotic influence, would fee awakened at 10 o'clock from a 72 hours' sleep, a huge crowd collected and early in the proceedings: denounced the hypnotist, who declared that he had studied tihe science for seven or eight years. The crowd then took charge, and the principals in the show had to seek refuge in an adjacent shop. Buckets of water were thrown on the /denselypacked crowd from -the building,- and the response was-'- a shower of stones, which broke some windows. The crowd hung on till after midnight, when the refugees; were smuggled away in motors. . .
