SCHOONER CLYDE WRECKED

I.WERCARGILL, Dec 22 A Hobart cable mcssag-Q to Mr Joseph Hatch, the owner, states that l the schooner Clyde was recently wrecked at the Macquaries. ( All hands were saved and returned to Hobart by the Antarctic tender vessel Toroa, which also brought up 389; casks of oil. The Clyde, formerly a West Coast trader, was purchased in Wellington last August and this was her first trip to the Macciuaries.' The vessel was uninsurable as she was without power. Coming immediately after- the loss of the schooner Jessie Nicol, the loss is j/veiry Unfortunate. Captain W. Smith was in command. An inquiry has been opened at Hobart.
