4s» MAJOR HTJTTON. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCHi, Oct. 20. A cable message from' England was received in Christchurch to-day announcing the death of Major G. M. Hutton a son of the 'late CaptF- W. Hutton, formerly curator of Canterbury Museum. Major JELutton was educated in this city and he obtained a commission in 'the ■ Royal Engineers and served in the Boer war, where hei gained the D-S-O. distinction. His death was the result of an accident. He was fortyfive years -of age.
