HOCKEY.
On Saturday the 'Rimu ladies journeyed to Kumara to try conclusions with the Premier ladies. The ground was in good order and the game very evenly contested, it being" at times particularly fast. The game ended in a draw, no score being-re-gistered. For the Premiers- Misses E. MqrpKy, C. Holmes and Poole were the most conspicuous and Misses Arnott : , Kear, J. Morris and Lindsay ''}) did "good work. Mr Kerr acted as referee. JVLawhera suffered an, unexpected defeat, by Trinity, on the Park by three goals to two. Mr Finney made an efficient referee. In the senior match St. Columba v. Kumara, played at Cob'den, the former won by four goals to nil. Mr ( de Berry gave satisfaction with the whistle. ' . ' .
