The Borough Council sat late last night over the estimates. Some increases "were made in the salaries — the town clerk by £25, ito £400; the engineer 'by £50, .to £400 ; juniors also were raised, and all the workmen iby sixpence a day^ It is estimated that the receipts were £33,588, the expenditure somewhat more. The Coronation will.be celebrated by an open-air service . and entertainments. The school children will hold a street procession in the day, and at nig-ht the illuminations. Committees are appointed for each.
