GREY HARBOUR BOARD
The annual meeting oi me Grey Harbor ißoard was lieid yesterday at noon! Present :— Messrs F. Campbell (chair), E. J. Scantlebury, W. B. Kettle, A. O. Russell, Hons Jas. Mar^ shall and Guinness. . Mr. Kettle said it gave him great pleasure to propose that Mr. Felix Oampbell.be re-elected Chairman lot the ensuing year.. He said Mr. Campbell had done excellent work during his term and/ he had the , unanimous confidence of the members. Mr Camp •bell was an out and out business man and would steer the ship through all difficulties. He wished Mr. Campbell. every success during hia term. . Mr. Scantlebury seconded <ond said the memibers could not .do better than re-appoint Mr. Campbell as chairman. He had brought the board MV to its present satisfactory state. Mr. Campbell had worked successfully" for the consolidation of the loans. Hqn Mr Marshall said that he could endorse all that had ibeen said by the previous speakers. He paid a compliment to Mr Campbell for the way he had conducted the business of the past year. Hon Mr Guinness also endorsed the previous remarks. It was the unanimous wish of the members that Mr Campbell foe re-elected. The motion was put and carried witff acclamation. Mr. Campbell said he felt grateful to the members for tSeir continued confidence in h3m. It was pleasing to him to hear from the members that they had appreciated his efforts. He hoped that at -the end of the year the Board would :be in a ib'etter position than at present:. Since Jie joined the board he had done his best, and he was pleased to say his elfor.ts' had proved successful. He was pleased to sa3 T the position of the hoard was highly satisfactory. The revenue that had been derived quite justified the board in going to the Government" for a loan. The board was now in the best position in the Dominion. He aslked for the support of tEe members during his term and he hoped to be able to present a better state of affairs next year. (Applause.) TENDERS.
