MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
(By Telegraph— Per Press Association) DARGAVILLE, May 9. At the Magistrate's Oourt R. B. Dovan and T. Campbell, for being found on licensed premises on December 26, which was Xmas Day, under the Public Holidays Act, were fined 10s and costs each. WOODVTL'LE, May 9. A young man of 22 years named Timothy Joseph Sullivan was acciden- . tally killed by a fall of earth at Kumeroa this morning. He was "work ing on the Woodville county road contract, on the Upper Gtawhao Road where there is, a good deal of excavating work to do. Shortly after starting work, a big fall of earth,, which smothered him up to the neck. His mates, who were working close iby, came to his assistance as soon as" possible, but "when released he was quite dead. All that is known about Km is that he formerly belonged to Seadowns, near Temuka. The body was brought in to Woodville. An inquest will be held in the morning.
