NEW YORK, Jan 27
Alfred W. Dowsworth, business manager of the New York Journal of Commerce, in giving evidence before the House of Representatives, said that the Ship Subsidy 'Committee told him of an attempt which was made to buy the editorial in favour of American Government's purchase of -tEe Panama Canal property from the De Lessep's Company.
