THE LONDON WOOL SALES
WELLINGTON, Nov. 24 The High Commissioner's cable, dated London 23, state that the wool sales have commenced and that the market is firm on. account of the small supply: Trade is good and likely to continue so^ Merinos and crobsbreds are firm at the closing rates of last sale. % ' 18,000 bales of New Zealand wool are catalogued. The' estimated values of New. Zealand wool at -the close of the fifth series of colonial wool saies held in London on Bth October, were as follows -.—Superior merino, 13d to 15£ d; medium 10|d to 12|d; inferior 7£d to lOd; fine crossbreds, all gradse 13$ d to A l6d; medium ditto 3 1 d to 13d; coarse ditto BJd xo 10$ d.
