Rev. D. >C. Bates' summary and forecast is as. follows ;— Moderate easterly winds have predominated with m uggy weather, fog and rain* in parts. The barometer has risen and fallen slowly everywhere. The present indications are for moderate to strong westerly . winds in the far north, but south easterlies prevailing generally. Rain is probable on the eastern coasts of both islands, especially of .the North Island 'and in parts elsewhere. There is little movement of the barometer probable generally.
