WEDDING.
"Happy" is -the bride that the sun shines on." If omens count for anything -Miss Nellie Power (now Mrs Forrest) should have a happy married lite. ' She was married yesterday at St. Patrick's Church under the brightest auspices to Mr John Forrest, of Greymouth. Both are well known and h'-ghly esteemed by a large circle of friends. The ceremony was conducted by the Very Rev. Dean Carew. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr Patrick "Power, Mr Phil. Power acting as best man. The bride's dress was of cream serge with satin facangs and she wore a black picture hat and carried a very handsome prayer book. Her bridesmaid was her sister, Miss M. Power, who wore a, white lawn dress, prettily embroidered and a cream hat trimmed with sweet peas. She carried a very pretty bouquet. . The brid«'s present to the br;degroom was a gold sovereign case, he presenting to his bride a diamond xing and gold watch and chaiin. The bridesmaid received from the br!dfe'groom, as a memento of the occasion, a beautiful gold bangle. ' . . ... ' After the wedding ceremony was over the bridal party returned to th<; home, of Mrs Austin, the bridegroom'^ mother, and thence 'to the railway . station where the bride and bridcgrom entrained on -their journey to Wellington where their future home will be. There was a very large attendance at the railway station to wish them .a good journey and all sorts of, well. . washes, xice and confetti, being .plentifully showered on them. The bride's -travelling dress was a heliotrope tweed costume with hat to, match.
