AN IMPROVEMENT SCHEME.

SYDNEY Sept. 20.
The Works Committee of the City Council to-day endorsed the Lord Mayor's proposal to resume several further slum areas in pursuance of the Sydney improvement schem-e.
The cost of re-modelling- the areas in question will be £107,000, the present properties representing a set-off of ;£57,000.
