Owing to -the policy of tho contract ors in connection, with the Otira tunnel CjVing preference to married men, the Otira school has increased in numbers. Ther/p we now over seventy pupils on tli£r roll. Im consequence lihe school has become so crowded that it was found necessary td add a second room. The Education Board has received notice that n recent application to the Education Department fr the necessary git-nit has achieved its purpose.
