(Per. Press Association). NAPIER, April 27. The weather was fine to-day but bit terly cold for the opening of the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club Autumn meeting. The course was in good orMer. The results are :— Longlahds Hack Hurdl'es^-Oontdnu-ance 1, Forest 2, Dorando 3. Also , started — Pdkopo, Longner, Clemency, Waiwareware, Meriy Lawn, Haurang? Tupaea, Leguer. The hurdle at the top of the straight brought Pikopo down. Won comfortably by two lengths. Time 3.19. ' , Maiden Hack Race— : Humming Bird 1, Direotoire 2, Morccambe 3. Also started — Donzel, Castleside, Yorksliire, Boyne^ Water Artie Stormli'ght Hare Koa, Raupare, Stepalong. Goldenmar: Floater, Vibration. Won by a length. About a length and a half between second and third. Time 1.18.

Nursory Handicap— Kohinoor 1, Gloss 2, Ngatiruanui 3. Also started —Sea Eagle, Countermine, Lady Reina Bunkum, Entente, Waikehua, Longstep, Ngakau. Won all the way by a length". Time 1.2 4-5.

Parangahau Handicap, 6 fur.— Mon Ami 1, Nylland 1, Gipsy Belle 3. Also started— Lord Soult, Broadsword Hewnia, Clemora, Mundic, Paru'a, Am bala. Won by over two, lengths. Time 1.15.

Hawkes Bay Cup— Bridge 1, Kopu 2 Parable 3. Also started— Sandstream, California, Merrivonda, Sir Antrim, Sit Tristram, John, Koran,, Lamsdorff Berengaria Parable. Sir Antrim' and Lamsdorff held the leading positions for over a mile_ when Bridge came iast from the distance and won by a length. Parable was a good third. Time 2.36.

Karamu 1 Handicap Hurdles—Polyanthus 1, Exmoor 2, Reservoir 3. Also started— Paisano, Carazon, Nero. Won easily. Carazon fell. Time 3.21 1-5. Poukawa Hack Handicap — Ascalon 1 Amaru "2, Faunus 3. A.so- started — Multiple, Fort William, Meremere, St Felix", Andrew Mack. Niwaru, Merry Wing, Stourton, EKza Useful, Ki'ldonan. Prince Hassan. ' Won ail the way. Time 1.42 1-5.

Autiimn Handicap — Separator 1, Waikaraka 2, Bollin 3. Also stai-ted— Penates, Cemora, Swimming Belt. Afterthought, Dazzling, Goi'den Watei Ballyheigh, Glissade, Millenial, Rose Lethe, Polynices. Won easily. Time 1.52. '
