MR FISHER'S SPEECH

MELBOURNE, April 26, Mr Andrew Fish&r (Avho has been summoned by the Governor-General to form a Labor Ministry) arrived to-day from Brisbane and was warmly welcomed by ; a large gathering at the station. . Mr Fisher subsequently waited on Lord Dudley and accaptod a commission to form a, Ministry. " The caucivs meets to-day, when the Ministers will be chosen by ballot. Mr Fishef expects to be able to announce tho names of his" colleagues before the end of the week. Speaking at the Eight Hour Luncheon, Mr Fisher declared that the Labor Patty would not bs vindicative to the puril of any party or inter est ana Avould cultivate the friendship of State Parliaments within- their proper sphere. It wa-s gratifying to find that the navaj policy of the Labor ■Party has heen unreservedly accepted. Mr Fisher declined to discuss Co-lonel , Kirpatrick's appointment as InspecI tor-General of the CommonweaJth for ces. He consders that the question ought not to b© made a i>olitical one.
