THE VESSEL FIRE THEORY. (Reed. 25th, 12.20 aim.) I LONDON. Sep. 24. In response to a special inquiry, ! Lloyd's agents at Manila': 'telegraphs confirming, the Harlow's report. He adds the Harlow sighted a smoking vessel at 7 in the evening, and the explosion occurred at 8 o'clock. : The distance was too great to ascertain the ship's identity. The position cf the wreck was latitude 31.38 south, longitude 29.45 east. Lunds state the Clan Maclntyre re*ported sighting the Waratah at 9.30 on the morning of July 27th in the approximate position of latitude 32. 17 south, longitude 2Q. 17 east. The distance is about 51 miles ahead cf the wreck reported by the Harlow. The - captain of the Harlow suggests -thai the bottom of the sea be swept. ;
