REVENGE TAKEN.
CALCUTTA, Sept 1. " Gossan was shot in revenge by a man named Alipur at the gaol hospital yesterday. Accused, concealed Revolver, supplied by visiting friends and shammed illness and was sent to the hospital. Gossan died immediately Two European prisoners, who attempted to disarm the were seriouily wounded. The gaol authorities have frequently protested at the number of gaol visitors.
