LONDON, Feb 28 Twenty chairmen of the congregational •anion, or heads of colleges, have signed the manifesto to the churches affirming their faith in the Christian doctrines, though welcoming the progress of Evangelic theology. The Rev R J. Campbell replying at the City Temple, said that his attempt to allay theological unrest would prove as futuile as the papal encyclical against the. modernists. .
