ATTEMPT TO ASSASSINATE THE SHAH.
A NARROW ESCAPE.
OUTRIDERS KILLED
TEHERAN, Feb. 29. The details of the attempt on the Shah by bombs thrown from the roof of a house in a narrow street, was shows that one exploded in the air, and the other struck the ground, killing the outriders near the Shah's unoccupied motor car. Thfl Tribal Cavalry, who escorted the Shah. fled. The Shah, who occupied a carriage in th c rear, returned to the palace. Twelve were killed in the search of the houses in the vicinity. • The outrage was fruitless. The news of the occurrence caused the greatest surprise in London, as the situation at Teheran 'recently was quiet.
