HOKiITiKA, Feb 4

At the Arahura sale yards yesterday the yarding consisted of 130 fat cattle, including 30 North Island bullocks, and 300 fat sheep and lambs, There was a good attendance of local buyers and-only a few of the Northern contingent were present. The demand for beef was somewhat limited, about 30 head being passed in. The following prices were realised: — Good heavy weight bullocks up to £9 10s, medium £7 10s to £8 10s, light £6 7s to £s 15s- Heifers £3 17s 6d to ' £$• Heavy cows £7, equal to 20s to 2'i-s per ioolb. Fat sheep and lambs— .Heavy ewes 15s 3d to 15s, lighter 13s, and 13s 3d, fat larmbs 12s 3d, 12s ios, o.s Qd and 9S.
