House went into committee on the National Endowment Bill Mr Massey moved .an amendment to reduce the area proposed in the bill from nine million acres to a coo - 000 acres. ' Negatived by 38 to 21, Amendments were proposed by Mr Massey, Mr Mander ,Mr Houston and Mr Hemes to strike out the aTeas in their electorates". All were negatived. The House adjourned at 5.30. In the House the National Endowment^ Bill passed, its committee stages, ;tEe schedule being agreed to without amendment and passed by 35 votes to 22. The Premier moved" "the promised amnediment to clause 2 definitely lim-' itating the total area of endowment lands to nine million acres. The Land and Tncome Tax Bill (annual measure was nut through all its stages. The Housfc adjourned at 10 35. j
