PERSONAL ITEMS.
■Mr McGhee, Speight and Co's representative, arrived from Reeftoo last evening. • •Mr Bruce, Agricultural Instructor for the Grey and Westland Boards, was in Hokitika yesterday. He held teachers' classes in town on Saturday, which were well attended. The many friends of -Mr., Robert Millson, of Dillmans, will regret to learn that he is dangerously ill, and his condition is causing his relatives and friends great anxiety. ■Rev. Father Morkane, brother of Dr Morkane, with his mother, is expected to arrive in "AuckJahd about November nth. His sisters .c-.e Kumara on Thursday, and go -s 'ar as the northern capital to meet the homecomers. Mr W. Cochrane and family^ arrived from Reef ton last evening and in future will make this their home. The departure of the Cochranes from Reefton will be felt in that place, as they were highly respected residents. We. extend to them a hearty welcome to this; town. Mr Blundejl, Inspector in charge of the Stock Department for Nelson, Marl'borouglr and the West Coast, arrived in Greymouth by the s.s. Arahura, and subsequently went on Hokitika on a departmental visit. In company with Mr Empson, the Stock Inspector, he will make a tour of the district during the next few days.
