The many friends of Mrs D. Hyndman, of Stillwaiter, will be pleased to learn 'that she is making satisfactory progress at the hospital. Mr R. Wallace, traveller for the Stewart Timber Co., of Wellington, ds reported to have netted £2500 by the purchase of a business in Blenheim, says the Westport Times. The agreement was that Mr Wallace was to pay ,£IO,OOO for the business, but after signing the-.vendor decided not •to give up, and re-purchased for ,612,400.
