A WAIROA COMPLAINT.
WAITOA, J-uly .24. . Complaints are made at the Tai; Rawhiti Land ißoardj whioh is suppos^ ed >to sit here every two months, and; has only sat once isince March and has now adjourned to August 14th. Tihe reason given is tihe bad istate <of the roads, bnt the mail coach is running as usual. The (Board is supposed to expediate Native Land matters, . but it is alleged much inco'nveaienoe and trouble is caused lby_ these delays, as; leases cannot be confirm»ed and land worked. There is . a very • large area awaiting isettlement, ibut the expected improvement in administration has still to come.
