Tbe coming concert to be held on Monday next of Poland's greatest violinist, Leopold Premyslav, with the assistance of New Zealand's first soprano, Mrs Alice dower-Bums, and Australia's favorite pianiste, Miss Bessie Beattie, is being looked froward to eagerly by everyone-,by musical people and also by those who simply want to hear a simple, and homely melody interpreted by great artists.Premyslay does not only play the>%* Paginini Concerto, but he can "sing" a simple melody on the violin with entrancing delicacy , and sweetness. Mrs Gower-ißurns, after her singing of "O Roberto Tv Che Adoro," and "Mia Piccirella" at the famous Jean Gerardy concerts in Christchurch, was highly complimented by the worldfamed 'cellist upon these numbers.
