SCOW WAIKONINI ASHORE

AUCKLAND, July 25. The scow Waikonini is the vessel reported to ibe ashore at Pakiri. Messrs W. . and G. Winstone, Ltd., the owners, have^recei ved a telegram from" the master (Captain McDermott) who says that the vessel is ashore in a safe position and the crew • all afe. It is not known whether she was driven ashore or was beached.
