CREYMOUTH JOCKEY CLUB.
The monthly meeting of the general committee was held at the Albion Hotel last evening at 8 o'clock. Present -^Messrs Joseph Petrie (chairmin), -Walton, Gieseking, McCarthy, Ponson by, Bignell, McKay, Sheedy, Kettle, Claughesy. . ' H. A. Peyton was granted a jockey's I license. , • ' .. G. . O'Keefe was granted a jockey's license. : .: ,. A. Cameron applied ipr a jockey's li cense.. Some discussion took place owing to applicant being resident of: another district; but the license was Ktauted <m tive. recommendation of the? Westland Club. " Fred. Jas. Jones was granted a joe! key's license. Thos. Burns was gxanted a jockey's license with a caution. # '- The, action of the chairman regard-' ing the Karamea meeting was endorsed.
