The ■ Mapourika arrived from the nprth at seven o'clock yesterday morning. She leaves on her return trip at 10 o'clock this morning. The Moa arrived from Foxton and the Oreti from Wanganui early yester fiay mprning, and sailed for the same ports yesterday afternoon coal laden. The Rosamond is due from Welling ton this morning. The ■ Hawea will complete loading timber to-night, and will sail for Lyt telton to-morrow morning at eleven o'clock. The schooner Clyde from this pori arrived at Wellington on Monday aftei a good trip. She is loading produce fox-this port. The Christchurch Press reports that the baraueatine Jap, now Tn'iJort with a cargo of hardwood, has been - sold to a New Zealand buyer, ah'd 'will be employded in the Ne\v Zealand oss-tal trade. Mr McKenzie, chief officer o? the Kotuku. has gone ashore owing to- "an attack of influenza. The second' office! j of the vessel is acting chief, and Mr j Mills, late of the Penguin, has joined as acting second. The steamer Brisbane arrived at Lyttelton on Tuesday and lands iroc tons of coal at that port. She takes timber from Kaipara to Melbourne.
