THE COLONIAL BANK

' WELLINGTON, July 6. The action of Victor Braund v. P. C Neill and G. McLean was mentioned in Chambers this morning. Mr Braund applied to join Fraser, formerly a clerk employed by him, as defendant. .He stated that Fraser was made the nominal holder of 212 shares in the late Colonial Bank, which he (Braund) purchased for himself. Fraser had declined to come in as plaintiff, and he sought to add him as defendant. The Chief Justice permitted the jointure. Mr Braund further applied that the hearing^ of the action should take place in Wellington instead of Dunedin, where, he said,, so many of the special jury class had been associated with the Colonial Bank. The matter was adjourned till next Friday.
