.Mr G. A. Harkness, Chief Inspector of Schools in the Nelson. district, returned from Sydney last week. A. Perth paper announces that Mr John Quigley, a former Reefton hotel keeper has disposed of his Court Hotel in Perth for £16,000 and intends paying New Zealand "a visit.
. Mr McGhie representing Messrs Speight and Co will arrive here on his usual trip to-morrow.
