(Received at 4 30 pm.) Capetown, March 7. Two men using cayenne pepper blinded a couple of customs officers at Johannesburg conveying a big containing LSOOO to the bank. They wrested the bag from the officer carrying it, hit him with it, and then handed it to a horsemm, the latter starting in-head'ong flight and knocked down Brandon, the manager of a local firm. Tho horse boltec! and threw his rider, who rushed with the bag into a house. Ou being arrested he gave the name of Frank Goddard. He was charged aud remanded to the 17th. Brandon succumbed to his injuri s.
