BRITISH TRADE RETURNS,
The New York Tribunes' London correspondent stales fchafc tne British trade returns for October show a still f urther decline in the* volume of the nations commerce. There is a drop of - L750,000in the exports, as compared with Octob3r last year, while the ten months of the year give a diminution nearly L 10,000,000. The fall in_ List month is due miinly to the diminished value of the coal exported. In met ils, machinery, and newspapers there is a considerable decrease, which isr balanced by a great increase in the valus of | textile exports. The imports show a; I reduction of no less than L 4,000,000.' The general impression produced by these figures is that trade is distinctly i on the down grade. .
